in jackson Mi can u get emancipated at 14?

oki so this is an open question to any one that knows and i tryed lookin it up, and most ppl say it depends on where u live but i cant figure out if u can where i live or not. my gf turns 14 next year and shes has had a hard life her mom treats her like **** well her aunt. she dont live with her parents bc she cant bc her dad wasnt ever there and her mom is a crack head. but her mom(aunt) treats her like **** every day yells at her for no reason and stuff like that so it would be very helpful if any one knows ??

well ty but niter of u helped. and the money thing i we wont have to worry about that bc im going into the Marines so well have money and she would live at my house so she wouldnt have any bill i guess ill just figure it out myself

    Not a chance. To be emancipated you have to prove you earn enough to support yourself completely on your own. Since a 14 year old cannot legally work a full time job,they would not make anywhere near the amount of money needed for them to support themselves.

    the general rule i most states is that you have to be financially self-supporting to qualify for emancipation.

    so, i suspect the answer is no.

    i also suspect, but do not know, that social services or child welfare authorities will be unimpressed with verbal abuse and will, therefore, take no action.
