I'm sorry but "Time to say goodbye" or even its Italian version "Con te partiro" is NOT opera. It is an Italian pop song.

If you still want some opera recommendations, let us know and we'll be happy to oblige. Bear in mind though, they will not be like Bocelli's pop song.

    Edit: Very well sir...

I suggest that you listen to the male and female arias (and some of the chorus numbers) from the following opera:

Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) - Rossini

    Largo al factotum

    Un voce poco fa

    Don Giovanni - Mozart.

    Ah, chi mi dice mai

    Madamina, il catalogo è questo

    Là ci darem la mano

    Dalla sua pace

    Batti, batti o bel Masetto

    Fin ch'han dal vino

    Eh via buffone

    Deh vieni alla finestra

Don Giovanni! a cenar teco m'invitasti

    Tosca - Giacomo Puccini

    Recondita armonia

    Vissi d'arte

    E lucevan le stelle

    La Boheme - Giacomo Puccini

    Che gelida manina

    Sì, mi chiamano Mimì

    O soave fanciulla

    Quando me'n vo'

    Carmen - Georges Bizet

    L'amour est un oiseau rebelle

La fleur que tu m'avais jetée

That should keep you going for a while.

Nessun Dorma (hear any or all of the Three Tenors performing it) from Turnadot

Prologue from Britten's Turn of the Screw

Auto de Fe (What a Day) from Candide; I absolutely love the humor of it, as well as the orchestration, although it's not the most classically operatic song out there

Glitter and be Gay from Candide

Madamina, il catalogo è questo from Don Giovanni

These are obviously from my personal (and limited taste), so I'd also recommend going to the local library and borrowing DVDs and CDs to see what you like, but this should give you a start.

Bocelli is not an opera singer, and time to say goodbye is not an "opera song".
