A Scots Muslim mum has found the word "Allah" inside a potato she was peeling.

Mariam Nadeem told the Record: "It's like a special blessing has been sent to us."

Mum-of-two Mariam, 30, of Glenrothes, Fife, discovered the Arabic writing inside the spud as she peeled a batch of potatoes to make samosas.

"Then I noticed the brown writing in Arabic against the yellow of the potato.

"I couldn't believe it when I spelled out 'Allah'."

"I showed it to our neighbours and they too were surprised."

Nadeem then took the potato to her local mosque.

I hope I added enough question marks? To this funny article? I would not like to be accused of not asking a question? So don't you find this curious? Or is it just me?

    Yes teh Muslims have also found the arabic spelling of Allah on Jupiter's or Saturns clloud formation, you will have to youtube it, I am not Muslims so I could careless.

    Aw, the story no longer exists on the link. I´m still jealous of that person who sold a cheese sandwich with the face of Jesus or whatever on it on e-bay - they got thousands for it.

    Ok - found it. Rubbish - I can´t see the word Allah and I can read Arabic.

    I saw a video on youtube with this baby that had Koran scripture written on her leg. Apparently she was born with it.
