Games with resource collecting and crafting mechanic?
Can you think of games where you have to collect items and resources, and craft stuff from them? And where this is a main mechanic, otherwise it's pretty much every game.
I'm thinking games like Sims 2 Castaway, but Minecraft is another good example, and Dwarf Fortress comes close.
Any genre, any year, but only PC and Wii games.

I mainly play on the xbox, but I'm sure Minecraft is still your best bet. There is a knock off of minecraft called Fortress Craft releasing for the xbox on saturday (4/9/11) and I think it will also be available on the PC. It has some cool looking gadgets that minecraft doesn't have, but I don't think it will be as good. If you don't like the graphics in minecraft, you can get some high quality texture packs from this site: "http://www.planetminecraft.com/resources/texture_p... If the gameplay seems too tedious or difficult, there are some good guides and tricks on this site: "http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki%2... I've been looking for the same kind of game that you have, and I think minecraft is the best. Personally, I would like to see a combo of both minecraft and Banjo Kazooie N&B (that's a game where you can build and use your own vehicles).
