What does it mean when someone follows me home during a car road rage?

Few hours ago, I accidently cut someone off while driving and he followed me a few blocks with his motorcycle. I stopped and he punched my window (did not break) and yelled the F word to me. I honked, yelled the f word back and floored the petal to the metal few feet away from him. He still followed me and I parked in front of my house. Few minutes later, he found me and started yelling some cuss words. I yelled back cuss words and probably slipped some threatening things in nature. I then reacted by saying I don't want no trouble, I am sorry, I didn't see you. He calmed down a little bit and rudely said I know where you live and your license number and took off.

My question is will I be in trouble in any way or will he do something to my property? Am I off the hook and safe? How long do I have to wait to know I am safe?

Oh sh*t thats bad. Next time DONT DRIVE TO YOUR HOUSE, drive around a few blocks till you sort it out or he loses you.

Chances are he was just angry at the time and wont come back, but you can never know with people. He could be the type that would damage your property or even do something to threaten your life like set your house on fire, if he is "unstable" enough (and he sounds pretty bad based on your description of his rage at such a little thing)

to be safe, I'd let people know about the situation (neighbors, family, friends etc) and tell them to just be on the look out for a while. Also wouldnt hurt to take some extra safety precautions....get a security system if you dont already, park your car in the garage, etc

Lesson--NEVER go directly home when someone is following you! Drive to the nearest police station, even if it is out of your way. If the other person is still following you and goes there also, park in front, use your cell phone, and call the station sergeant. Tell him/her you're outside, and there's someone in the parking lot with you who is threatening you. He may still get your license number, and it's easy to trace someone's address if a person can get the name off the license by checking it. You should have apologized instead of reacting back to him. People get shot and killed in road rage incidents. You might think that makes you look like a wimp, but, believe me, it's not worth getting shot over.

It grew to become into street rage and stalking. the subsequent time you spot somebody following you on the line do notchronic homestead. power at modern to the police station and park at there to verify if the stalker drives away. If the guy does not then observe the considerable factors of the vehicle and record her/him. do on no account enable everyone to stick to you homestead; exceedingly in case you have babies. you may record her and that i think of you're able to. She grew to become into way out of line, she isn't a regulation enforcer; no longer even the police might have accomplished what she did. - Pepper.

Sounds like he isn't going to come back, he was just pissed and tried to scare you by saying he knows where you live.
