In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

trolls get a kick out of stating something just to get a rise out of people.

they are angry, miserable people who can only get their jollies by being hateful.

Trolling is the asking of questions in an attempt to gain knowledge from others, wherein you could ask elsewhere. What is bad? It is because a troll is like a six year old, running around the boardroom, diring a meeting of those whom already know, what he is trying to achieve. It is a contextual idiosyncrazy, not a particular evil.

I have a group website for trolls. The funny thing is, the only member is me. I happen to be a troll, and i like it. Gimme my answer and i will know also, is the way i see it. The first lesson in curing oneself of being a troll, is to admit they are a troll. (Then you will simplybecome a wiser troll).

A troll is someone who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.

Some trolling o Y!A isn't too bad. It can be an amusing question, not designed to insult anybody. However, some trolls sit behind a curtain of anonymity to try and hurt people they have never met.
