Can I use Rechargeable Li-ion AA battery to power my cellphone?

Can I use Rechargeable Li-ion AA battery which has 3.6V to power my cellphone that requires 3.6/3.7 volts.?

I saw a AA size rechargeable Li-ion battery which has 3.6V with 900mah. my phone battery is 900mah as well with 3.7/ 3.6 V would the power of one Li-ion AA battery can equal the 900mah of my phone? seems they are same to me.

    appears, from your numbers, that they are close enough to work ok.

    But you probably can't use the charger that came with your cellphone to charge the new battery.
