What's the best time of year to go snorkeling in Ecuador or Peru?

I'm looking to take my next vacation south of the equator. I want to include a few days of snorkeling and am wondering what the best time of year is to hit the waters & beaches in Ecuador and Peru.

Any suggestions are welcome.

    Hmm the best time of year to go snorkling in peru i know is from december to March :)

    in march it starts getting colder thats why :p But its basically warm all the time :)

    Ecuador should be the same... but idk :P

    Peru is BEAUTIFUL :)

    if ur looking for beaches . i suggest La Punta? :)
