i am in my 15th week now but in my 12th week i got a ultrasound down. i seen the baby move and i seen the heart but i don't know about the heart rate. there is some numbers and such on the ultrasound photos. i wondering if any of them could have to do with the heart rate. and what should i look for.

The numbers would be beside HR or FHR (fetal heart rate) and will likely have BPM (beats per minute) following the numbers. At 12 weeks the heart rate could have been anywhere from 120-170. I know with my ultrasound I have a pic of the sound waves of the heart beat and it says on that one, I don't believe it was on the others, but different ultrasound offices could be different. Good luck

Normally they don't put the heart rate on the ultrasound picture. If you had a level 2 ultrasound done, they can put it on there for you, if you ask, but usually it's not recorded. The numbers you see are probably the frequency and depth of the ultrasound. Next appointment, you will probably be able to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler, and you can count the beats and determine for yourself! Tell your nurse that's what you want to do, and she will probably help you count too!)
