The only politician I know of that was a Seal is Jesse Ventura.... Yes, I give Obama credit for making a good decision. I do like how libs like to point to their guy an say, "He was the COMMANDER in CHIEF!" Well the Commander in Chief does not command in the sense that SF Libs think. He did not train the Seals. He did not train the CIA. He did not plan the raid. He did what any president is supposed to do which is state an objective, allow the people who know the job to come up with plans, review the plan, order its implementation and hope that the men will be able to complete the mission.

What's strange about soldiers in a war zone getting killed? Especially Seals, they would be involved in the most dangerous actions? They were on the helicopter that the Taliban said they shot down, the military reported enemy action in the area, but the cause still isn't absolutely determined. The helicopter crew and several other military members were also killed.

It is a good thing Obama has stuck with the Bush plan and "stayed the course". It is the only wise thing Obama has done since taking office.

President Obama is COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF of our nation's military forces. In this capacity, he COMMANDED that the mission be undertaken and he CHOSE the method this mission was to use (helicopter drop-in, Navy SEALS special elite team, "shoot to kill" order). There were other options, such as bombing the complex that was situated within Pakistan, but the method CHOSEN by President Obama was designed to limit any damages to civilians. In addition, President Obama's decision to have an at-sea burial removes any possibility of having the Taliban militants or al-Qa'eda members erect a shrine that might imply Osama bin Laden was somehow a "martyr" for their cause.
