If a food item is on the DOLLAR MENU doesn't that make it DOLLAR with out tax?

Let's look at this logicly I order food for Dollar Menu Price isnt that enough NO tax on FOOD!

    Taxes vary from state to state and even slightly different from town to town. So, a dollar burger at Wendy's might be 1.04 on one place and 1.09 in another.

    When someone else is preparing the food for you hell yeah there's going to be tax. Unprepared food from a grocery store will not have tax because it's a necessity.

    You should live in Ohio. I do. There is no tax on food. Just drinks and clothes and stuff :) If it says a burger is 99 cents...it is 99 cents... unless you eat-in..then there is an eat-in tax

    The only place where you won't get taxed is if you are in a U.S. Military base/post!

    There is tax on prepared food, just not unprepared food.
