Could I have re-torn my ACL?

I am 4 1/2 weeks post op and was doing really well with my recovery. Yesterday, I slipped with my good leg and ended up sort of jumping and landing with my bad leg in full extension, jarring it. No swelling but more pain than I had before. I hadn't gotten full extension back yet and this may have forced it. It doesn't feel unstable, just stiff and really really sore. I know I need to go see my ortho to know for sure but it's the weekend and I'm just really worried that I may have retorn it. Has anyone retorn theirs and can tell me some symptoms or how they "knew" it was retorn? I'm just very stressed out and probably will be until I can go to the doctor. Thanks.

I have a complete ACL tear. I got it a year ago getting bucked off of a horse. Unfortunately due to advancing arthritis mine will not be getting repaired. Back at the end of January I was walking outside and it"popped" on it's immediately it swelled and I could not bear any weight. The MRI showed that I had fractured my fibula in the fall and extended the tear.

If you do not have any swelling (thank god) and it still feels stable then at this point I would say you have probably just irritated the surgical site. Hope all is well when you see your doctor.

You may have just irritated the surgical site. Ice it until you see your dr.

No doubt you've re-sprained it, at least slightly. That's very easy to do when it's weak from healing.
