If objective morality exists, would it be different if it stemmed from God as opposed to man?

Also, what do think would be the differences?

Morals are views on what is generally accepted by people within a society.

If morals came from one person or a god they wouldn't represent society.

Also, morals change over time, i.e. capital punishment is now considered immoral by people in most Western Countries but 100 years ago it was perfectly acceptable.

Would a god be able to change it's views over time?

People always talk up a storm about how morality is simply the agreed rules between people in society or some silly rot like that.

It seems fairly obvious to me that this is an idiotic notion since these rules of morality clearly favor some and opresses others.

And the ones favored are usually few, and the ones oppressed are the many.

If morality were man made agreements, then it would be nothing to chuck out them out or at least rewrite them when it reached a stage where a few "haves" can hoard and even break the rules of morality by stealing, and leave the "have nots" to literally die as a result.

And yet somehow this never happens, the rules of morality are never thrown out the window, and they are never rewritten.

In fact, the theft of the haves depends on it.

I seems clear as daylight to me that where ever these rules come from, at some level we are all aware that they are not ours to fiddle with, no matter what.

Objective morality does exist. It doesn't stem from anyone; it's like logic. People can have bad logic, but that doesn't mean objective logic does not exist. People can have bad morals, but that doesn't mean objective morality does not exist. The difference between God-given morality and man-derived morality is that God knows everything, so He can tell us exactly what is moral and what is not, based upon His knowledge of morality, whereas man has to use his flawed reasoning to try to come upon this objective truth.

God has already stipulated and specified what ABSOLUTE morality is by His own character. But we, as finite mortals, can NEVER conform to this absolute.

All we can do is pick and choose through the absolute to define and re-define the RELATIVE morality we so choose to exhibit.

Because we can NEVER become "sinless", we see other people in their own moral relativity objectifying and quantifying their actions against our own chosen mores. And no two "sinners" will be alike. This is WHY all people judge.

True morality exist in doing good without promise of reward(heaven) or punishment for bad(hell).

Religion does not give morality it controls with fear and bribes.

    hardly . . . .

one would have to pre-suppose a God that is not objective, and, after all, isn't that the point?
