I would go to Michigan. It's a great school academically, it has a huge and powerful alumni network, and you'll always have the football team to root for once you graduate.

Apply to both schools. Keep in mind that you can always do med school at Michigan later, if you stick with the program. Plus, Michigan is famous for its want of diversity. They are more likely to take you for their med program if you are in the top from ANOTHER undergraduate program. Still, if you get into Michigan, you should definitely consider going there. An undergrad degree from Ann Arbor will get you into your choice of medical schools later on.

Cornell is more selective. Not many people can say they went to an ivy league school. Plus the University of Michigan is somewhat easy to get into if you are in-state. Cornell is in New York, so you can have good opportunities to get a job

Cornell is the better school academically, but not by far. I would put a variety of factors into consideration when choosing from these schools (financial aid, location, school size, etc.). Doing well at either school will result in a successful future.
