My toilet is clogged what do I do? Please help!?
So today when I flushed the toilet, it got clogged. There was nothing in the water, but it was really high so I left it alone. I checked like two minutes later and it went down some. After an hour it was back to normal. But now I flushed to check if it was working, and all this water and toilet paper came up!! The water level is really high so flushing is not an option. I tried plunging and putting detergent soap in the water (I heard it breaks down whatever is blocking it) but I'm really scared it's not going to go down. I just checked it's been about five minutes and the water has gone down about a half inch. Should I just leave it or plunge again? Do you think I will need a plumber?
Any help will be appreciated!

when the water has gone to its normal level place the plunger in and push to deflate the bulb. flush the toilet and use a push-pull motion. try to feel the column of water through the handle. remember water is non-compressible and will effectively transfer the force you use to the debris plug. a typical toilet reservoir tank holds no more water then the cistern, so a flush will not overflow as long as the level in the cistern is down to normal. if it doesn't work the first time, let the water go down and try it again.

Keep trying the plunger for a while. Cheaper than a plumber, but you can always call the plumber and he will run a "snake" (clog clearing wire) down the system, or take it apart if absolutely necessary.
... and this is why some people have 2 bathrooms. (But I don't either, so I sympathize - and understand why you could not wait too long to call a plumber.
Hint: make sure you get all of the air out of the plunger bell so that you have total hydraulic (water) pressure when you plunge the pipe. Air just gives way without exerting any real force.

Years ago one of my toilets was blocked and I called out a plumber. He used a two litre plastic bottle. He screwed the top off and pushed the open end as far down as possible and used a plunging action. He said that it was quicker and more effective than a plunger or any other equipment; my friends have since used this method and it always works.
I have given this answer three times in the last five minutes
