Where can I save the most money but still have fun? Abu Dhabi or Al Ain?
Sorry to keep bothering people about these types of questions....but I have school spots for my daughter in both cities(I need to put a deposit down to fully secure it now), and I would love some answers on this. I have a great friend in AD that would be great, but at the same time, Al Ain has a nice quiet, family atmosphere. Plus the tuition is less that AD. Still, my good friend is in AD, and though it is not too far away by car, I think I wouldn't see her so much once I got settled in. Please advise! Thank you!

I like Al Ain but I would opt for AD. First of all, Al Ain doesn't have a beach and if you get a membership for you and your daughter at one of the hotels, it might be the same as tution fees in AD.
As a single mother (if I remember right) I would stay close to my friend. Drop by after work to have a coffee or just see each other for an hour. You also may make new friends more easy in Abu Dhabi by going out.
If you live in Al Ain and spend a lot of time in AD living costs won't be that much cheaper.
Hope you'll be satisfied with whatever you decide.

For saving wise Al Ain will be better for you, also for fun I would say Al Ain as it is less traffic and currently have few good malls, Zoo and green open spaces, but Abu Dhabi may offer more choices for families like schools and kids classes for example,
