Why did people have a problem with what LBJ said after the finals loss?

I've watched different analysts debate how poor of a statement he made after the finals and I'm wondering what they're talking about. He didn't say anything that wasn't true. He should pay no attention to the haters out there and enjoy his life with his family. Everyone else will have to return to their normal lives since the finals are over and there isn't a great deal else on Tv to distract you from problems you have. Everyone has problems. My feeling is that people don't like to hear the truth and people really hate hearing the truth from someone whom they hate. What I hate is what he did today which was clarifying what he said and subsequently getting flack for that. What he said didn't come off to me as someone thinking they were above others. I said once he went to Miami last year that they wouldn't win the title this year and I was right. I had no problem with the Decision except for him needing to have his boy Maverick call the teams during the telecast to let them know he wasn't coming to play for them. Obviously if Maverick didn't know where was going, he couldn't have done it, however I believe he knew. Other than that, didn't have a problem with "The Decision." I'm not a LBJ fan either. I like watching him play, but I'm not a fan. Why did people have a problem with what he said after the finals?

Because ther haters even if he said "I appreciate all the sh*t talking and u guys are right, I suck"..they still wouldve found something wrong with what he said..haters are gonna hate!!!

I had no problem with it either, he's been criticized like no other player in the NBA ever has for about a year now. It's only logical that maybe he's had enough and takes a shout at the geeks who really hate him.

I thought what he said was perfectly fine. People hate on him, so he has a right to call out the haters.

Source(s): LeBron hater who wasn't at all offended

Because everyone knew he had a little script ready to say - "I told you so" - if the Heat won the series.

Because he made it sound like he's so much better than everyone who hated him.

It would have been ok if he WON, and then said it.
