Straightened hair doesn't stay straight!?

Okay, so my hair is about shoulder length, layered, and is naturally very curly. I go to straighten it, and i get a few problems:

1. The ends of my hair flip our and when i try to flatten them they don't stay.

2. About an hour after i straighten my hair, it starts to get a little wavy.

3. I don't have money for an expensive straightener.

Ok, so i'm basically looking for an inexpensive way to keep my hair straight for at LEAST a couple of hours.

that happens because of humidity. spray an anti-frizz serum onto your hair after you straighten it and of course a heat protecting spray before

This is what I do for my hair and it works like a charm (I also have very curly hair):

When you go into the shower, shampoo with warm water. Repeat. During the second time, comb your hair with your fingers with the shampoo still in your hair. Then rinse. Now put conditioner in your hair. Leave it on for a LONG time. (I usually keep it on for like 10 minutes.) Comb your hair with your fingers halfway through. Then rinse with COLD WATER.

Towel dry your hair. When it's damp, comb it with a wide-toothed comb. Then brush it with a normal brush. Flip over at your waist, then brush your hair.

(This step is optional.) Put volumizer in your palms then run it through your hair.

Get a blow dryer and blow dry it. It should make it straight and keep it that way for a while. When its dry, flip back over so you are right-side-up, and then leave it like that for a few seconds. Then brush it out. Straighten your hair like you normally would.

Remember to secgtion your hair so it's much easier and use a Straightening Spray/Gel if you need to. If a certain piece of hair isn't straightening and keeps flipping, keep going over it. Every inch or so, stop the straightener and hold itt here for about 10 seconds. It should straighten.

    :)

like the answer above, I too keep my conditioner in for a LONG time. not 10 minutes because I just don't have that time in the morning, but I get in the shower shampoo immediately and then put my conditioner in, then shave my legs and wash my body and whatnot, so you're killing 2 birds with one stone. :D

Also, I know its bad to blow dry your hair every morning, but this does help get your hair straighter to start out with. As long as you put heat protectant on before blow drying your hair should stay strong.

Also another straightening tip, use a low-medium heat setting so you can go over each section of hair more than once. If you use a high setting you should only go over that section of hair ONCE, but if you use lower settings you can go over each section 2-3 times.

When you're done straightening your hair, turn your blow dryer on cold air and blow your hair to cool it down to a normal temperature, and thats when you should put in your hair spray.

    Hope this helps!
