Sleeping with your hair pulled back makes it grow?

I have a friend with very long hair, and she claims she sleeps with it pulled back into a pony tail, and it helps her hair grow.

Has anyone else ever heard of this?

That is NOT TRUE!!! A hair can only "live" for a certain amount of time. It's different for everyone. It can also only grow so fast. When it "dies" it falls out. There are probably products that claim to help it grow more (I don't know whether you can trust them). So, anyway, pulling it back doesn't help.

No no no. Sleeping in a ponytail pulls on your strand and causes tension near your hairline. In return your hair will start to break and fall out.

haha it sounds like it would make it fall out! geez, if you want your hair to grow faster you should take a vitamin for it. GNC has one called hair and nails that is really good but I've also heard of people taking prenatal vitamins because they make you hair and nails healthier and grown faster.

supplementations will keep your hair healthful yet there is not any thanks to make it develop swifter. trimming the ends keeps extra from breaking off besides the undeniable fact that it doesnt make it develop swifter like this type of high quality type of human beings say. only keep it conditioned so it would not spoil and also you'll only ought to attend or get hair extensions
