He really was perfect for the role of Colombo. That was the #1 TV show for a while.

yeah super television practice Columbo. Do you all remember the dogs he had with the enormous floppy ears and wasnt it humorous while he pulls as much as the crime scene interior the previous motor vehicle that usually needs something fastened?

Great actor...great character for Colombo....I just heard...and that he was suffering from Alzheimer's. Wait....isn't he the detective (Colombo) that would always ask a question because he couldn't quite recall the facts?? Think about it...

I read that on the Internet..He was 83..I Loved Him as Colombo..He always looked like he slept in his clothes,and that coat,it looked like a bum had it first..He will be missed My Friend..

he brought to life a legendary character who captured everyone's heart - especially my grandma - she was a huge "Columbo" fan - she even got a trench coat like Columbo used to always wear.
