Brilliant, beautiful songsters, please help a girl with an old song stuck in her head?

I've searched "lyric" sites to no avail. Drat and damnabbit.

Words go something like this (I'm humming a few bars, but you can't hear me) "you used to think that you'd be so happy, just one more day and you'd be happy. Who's crying? Who's crying now? (play that mournful horn at this point of the break).

Could have been one of those "one hit wonder" bands.

I'll just keep looping the tune in my head until someone can name it for me, maybe loop it again?
