If there is a God, isn't God present within everyone, including the atheist? So to find God doesn't it make?

more sense to know yourself by turning within? I mean you don't necessarily have to look in the Bible to find him right? Even though it might help some, it's not necessary. What do you all think?

Update:

Nevermind. I shouldn't even have asked and labeled god a "him". I don't think It's a "him" or some guy somewhere up there. I need to work on my definition of God.

That's what appeals to me about Buddhism. We seek answers not from outside ourselves, but from within.

Certainly a highly intelligent statement. I firmly believe in what you are saying and I wish more people will want to think this way.

To add to your point I would say that not all the gods mentioned in the Bible are necessarily the Most High God, But most of them claim to be, or claim to be sent by the Godsource, which is not always true. Most were space alien groups disguised or camouflaged as gods and angels. Not that they were all bad entities, but that they used this front to keep their flocks in awe. Some were in service of the Godsource to carry out work on the planet, while others were gate-crashers. So scripture will have to be taken with a healthy dash of salt.

As you so rightly pointed out, turn to the God within if you doubt anything coming from without. And by the way the Godsource resides in everything around you as well. nothing can exist without the force of the Godsource, not even rocks.

The mistake of religionists is to try and sell a certain brand of God to people, ignorantly of course. And why buy something that you already have access to. You have hit the nail right on the head, so don't stop there study further. Ask this Godforce within you to lead you to the right material that will lead you to a greater understanding of His greatness.

Let me assure you He will certainly enjoy taking you on your biggest exploration ever.

    HEY YOU,

I think that everyone has there own feelings about God,and if he really exist. Personally i believe that he does. I think that most people want to believe in a supreme being. But i also think that we need to call upon our selves for strength. If God does exist,he must be pretty pissed at mankind. I only hope that he has a sense of humor.

If you read the Bible you would know that when people fell into sin God could no longer be with them, because he can't take sin, he literally can't be around sin. So he even had to find Prophets in order for him to communicate with us after that happened, but he still cared about us and so that is why he sent his son to save us "the sinners", so that we would all have to opportunity to be saved from sin,and we be able to go back to our original sinless souls, But there is something that has to be done, God still cannot dwell inside you until you have committed to your side of the covenant. The covenant is like a contract and after you complete your end of the contract then God can dwell inside of you in the form of the Holy Ghost who is your comforter to guide you and help keep you and God close together. But if you start to sin again, then you have to start right back over because a part of the Covenant is that you are genuinely remorseful for all your sins, and you should be aiming to go on from there and sin no more. But God knows it hard and so he is trying to work with us, but you have to come to God and then God will be able to dwell inside of you. He can send his Angels to help you at times and to try and guide you to him, but he can't dwell inside you.

God is He, Lord Krishna and She, His consort Srimate Radha. Or the expansions Vishnu and Lakshmi; or Rama and Sita.

He has 3 aspects: Brhaman,Paramatman, Bhagavan.

The first is His formless aspect, He is everywhere.

The second is He inside the heart of all living being.

    Bhagavan is His Supreme Personality.

The study of holy scriptures is necessary for us to understand what spiritual soul is, what is matter, who is God, how to reach Them, the different process (yoga) to reach Them, etc.

If there is a God and he was present within everyone, then there wouldn't be any Atheists in the first place.

You are more than you think you are. You are literally the evolution of the consciousness or intelligence that many refer to as "God". The universe is expanding and so is that higher consciousness or intelligence. We are all that expansion. Personally speaking, you will not find any answers that will be of any real use to you in the Bible. My opinion.

You do have to turn to the bible to know God. That is where you find a relationship with Him. you can not have a relationship with God if you do not know Him.The holy Spirit comes to live in your heart when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.

    Partly true, partly false

"For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil" (Deut 30:11-15)

But to the suggestion that God's omnipresence makes us God - that is as absurd as my saying that my being in this room makes this room me. Also, the Lord promises to dwell in us only when we turn to Him and are saved. But yes, He is present with the unbelieving so long as His grace continues. But he won't strive with us always.

Treating the whole world as if it is a reflection of yourself is actually quite beneficial to all. I suppose God might work as well.
