What websites subjects get the most traffic?

Search engines, social networking, dating, current events, hollywood gossip, weddings, fashion, business, jobs, travel, real estate, mortgages, graphics, diet, exercise, self-help, porn....... HOWEVER, these topics are EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE - just think about it..............big companies have thousands and thousand of $ - often millions - to put into developing and optimizing their sites. I'm not trying to be negative, but unless you are a super whiz with programming, SEO and web design, it's not looking good for someone starting out to be competing in the big categories with the big guns. Better to take a niche market - pick s/thing you know well & are really interested in - and start a website based on that.
