The Meter reader who found the body, why did the cops not investigate after he made the 1st call?

Sometimes the police have important things to do, so they can't waste time on the insignifigant things.

Although there was a missing child reported in that area, had this child gone missing due to murder and her body put in a bag and dumped, the perpetrator would have taken her a much farther distance and left her in a place where nobody would ever find her.

Therefore the officer used logic and determined that whatever was in that garbage bag, it was not dear Cayllee so they worked on another task.

It's probably right that there was a police tendency to think Caylee wouldn't have been dumped so close to home, especially after they sensed the smell in the trunk of the car. They had already done a cursory search of the nearby area anyway. On the 3rd call that Kronk made to police, a sheriff's deputy did go and search where Kronk said he'd seen what looked suspicious. It was Deputy Cain, don't know his first name, but he reported back that he didn't find anything.

Kronk says he didn't hardly look, and was p.o'd b/c he slipped in the mud. Deputy Cain has since been fired for negligence but he did some harm to the search, obviously. He had radio'd in to HQ that Kronk's lead was a false alarm and that there was nothing there.

Faulty logic there. It's the police's JOB to investigate things of this nature thoroughly. Anything less than that is simply not acceptable.

Caylee is the Granddaughter of George Anthony, who is a detective on the police force down there.

Police are willing to do any favor for a fellow policeman. So if George asked them to leave this case alone, he will handle it, they would tend to do that.

Im not sure, but something is strange about that.I heard at one point that the cops ''said'' they went, but later said they must have went to the wrong location. It makes you wonder about those cops. I think that Roy Kronk had to call them at least three times.

The story I heard was that they did look in the area but it was overgrown and flooded, so they really didn't investigate thoroughly.
