What are some changes caused by the current electronic revolution?

I need to compare the changes being caused by the industrial revolution to the current electronic revolution. I already have my points in the Industrial Rev. but I need some for the CURRENT electronic revolution and how it has changed society.

(If possible) provide links to useful information :D

I'm not sure that I have any valid links to include but one thing I have heard a lot about recently is how people seem to be spending more and more time being "available".

What that means is that the Industrial Revolution made it possible to have more disposable free time away from work or chores. Now the Electronic Revolution has taken that time away. People are chained to their Blackberry's and Smartphones. They never turn them off and no matter what they are doing in their personal time if they receive a message they respond immediately.

Are brains are only able to do one thing at a time really well but more and more people have taken to multi-tasking and are not as efficient or productive as they think they are. Although they will argue to the contrary.

When was the last time you were at dinner with friends and atleast one of them wasn't texting, talking or fiddling with their Blackberry? It has consumed peoples lives and not for the better necessarily.
