Remove CD-Drive partition from a USB stick?

I have a USB stick which was given away free at a trade show. It has two "partitions" on it.

One behaves like a normal disk drive the other shows up as a CD-Drive i.e read only

How do I delete/remove the CD-Drive.

(normal patition software won't let me do anything to the CD-Drive).

I'm running Windows 7

    HI.

I have heard of this before..

The CD/Virtual drive is embedded in the firmware , hard to remove unless you can find a firmware update with no Virtual drive..

Handy if you want to mount image files not so handy if you do not..

undecided if it is acceptable or not, yet... I even have an identical difficulty at artwork. if I actually have a usb thumb force in it fairly is given e:, then f: may be next. the undertaking is that F: is the optimal force letter not already taken by potential of a community force. If I plug something in later (digicam, etc.) whether i've got already unplugged the different gadgets, the digicam won't ensue. the artwork-around i've got found out is to "disconnect community force" G: (i infrequently ever use it) and then the digicam all at as quickly as seems as G:!
