Was your marriage ruined by gay marriage?

The institution of marriage only exists for the married couple. Outside events shouldn't affect your marriage; if it does, your marriage probably wasn't right in the first place.

The only thing that will ruin my marriage is my husband and me failing to work through our own issues as a couple. What other people do with their lives has no bearing on my life as long as I am not forced to do anything different in my own home.

Oh, and the whole "gay marriage" thing has been going on for years in a few other countries with no tangible ill effects to marriage or to the countries that finally dropped ridiculous bans on gays marrying and/or simply granted acknowledgment of equal treatment.

How many people here actually lay awake at night thinking "Oh my God, the gays are getting married!!!" If your straight, how does, what two strangers do, effect your life? It amazes me how simple minded people are.
