Dragon Age Origins: Awakenings VS Dragon Age II?
I need to know what to buy. I can get dragon age II or the expansion and all downloadable packs for dragon age origins, including awakenings. Which is better as far as gameplay?
I already have origins.

Gameplay in Awakening is exactly the same as Origins. You are just higher level and there are some new specializations. The story and companions are good too, but it's just an expansion so it's not that long. If you can only buy one I would get DA2. You aren't missing much by skipping Awakening and the DLC. DA2 has a lot more to offer and combat is much improved.

Get awakenings and the rest of the downloadable packs. I just got Dragon Age Origins with Awakenings and the downloadble content all included on the same game.

If you had not already got DAO, I would have said just bought all of them in a bundle, but since you have...
I would go with II. It has a great combat system, wonderful story, great characters. It is shorter than origins. The DLC for Origins is alright, but overpriced. They have nice stories but the gameplay is ehhh.
Anyway thats what I think: II is just an all around better game

Dragon Age 2 is well considered and cannily crafted. It cleverly keeps a sprawling decade-long story on a personal level by grounding players with a family to care for, as well as characters and friends that continue to resurface over the course of the story. It's this half of Dragon Age 2 which we like the most, as it gives you the opportunity to meet genuinely interesting characters such as Fenris, an escaped amnesiac slave with lyrium tattoos and a lust for killing wizards.
