Disregarding Gender Are you Scarlett or Rhett?

This sort of came up in another Yahoo Answer.

So here goes.

Are you Scarlett O'Hara (or Scott O'Hara) demure, fickle, spoiled, and infatuated with an "Ashley Wilkes (man or woman)" always wanting but not being able to have him/her because s/he is betrothed or attached to another (cousin Melanie or Melvin)? A seeming perfect knight or lady, an Romantic illusion?

Or are you Rhett (or Rhea) Butler, a scalliwag, gambler, intoxicant, profiteer, soldier of fortune, and wonton sex god (or goddess), who secretly loves and then eventually in between husbands, marries Scarlett (or Scott) but can't profess love openly for fear of reprisal?

I leave you with Rhett's line: "I loved you but I couldn't let you know it. You're so brutal to those who love you." ;)

My significant other and me are both Rhett Rhea types. Opportunistic, flagrantly realistic, wonton sex maniacs. We don't gamble drink or profiteer. Not soldiers of fortune neither. We can have some preditory moments in bed that is. When we're thru we still have dirty smirks on our faces.

Are these my only two choices?

Each seems to be somewhat of an anti-social behavioral type, wouldn't you say?

I'd say, neither describes me. Do either of those describe you? Or any of your friends?

I'm not self-centered, I don't try to "win". Never been abusive in any relationship, not abusive to my friends, either. I'm best when partnered with someone equally kind.

I'm a curious type, so read constantly. Not a game player, either.

I guess best would be that I know my self well, and know what makes me sad, and happy.

Just as an aside, the one thing I absolutely NEVER wanted to be was poor, as an older adult. Even as a very young child, the horrors of beng poor and old, were very real to me.....I'd see gomers in Walmart, who ought to have been home resting. Instead, at 82, there they are working, because it is either pay for your meds, or pay for your food. Never wanted that to be me. So, got an education, saved, invested, have a great job, and am financially sound.

Now the trick is to stay healthy enough to enjoy the time left.

I'm more like cousin Melanie, fragile but all heart. Hubby is like Ashley Wilkes as he's quite devoted.
