Do you agree with parole for murder crimes?

A woman who bludgeoned her 6 year son to death with a hammer and other tools, along with her defacto partner was released after 19 years jail served. Her other 2 children who witnessed the brutal death told the parole board to keep her locked up as they re lived their brothers brutal death every single day and she should serve a life sentence for the life she took.

Do you think our laws which give larger sentences for tax evasion than they do for grevious bodily harm and the fact that someone who brutally murders another person is allowed parole is too lenient?

Who am I to criticize the way you Aussies run your country. I will criticize my country though which has the same problem. Failure to pay your taxes will result in more jail time than some murder convictions.

I like Communist China's System. Within 30 days of conviction, the murderer is shot in the back of his head and his family is sent a bill for the cost of the bullet. No recidivism and no money wasted on years of appeals and a very small prison population.

Um... this is a tuff question becuz it all depends on the sircumstanses... Like if some one did what she did, just murder a child for no reeson, then i say lock em up for good. But if like a man comes home and finds his wife of 25 years having sex with some randum dude and he kills one / both of them in spur of the moment anger, then he should get a few years in prison becuz tecnicly they did the rong first.... and then it depends on how many pepole the person kills... like killing one person in a fight and then killing 20 pepole for no reeson is a big diffrense.

The lady probly got off early becuz your allowed to do a certain persentage of your sentence before being liable for parole.... and if you do good behavior you can get off erly as well. So that's probly how she got out with 19 years becuz usually the punishment for murder is 25 to life, some times with parole and some times with out.

So ya, in my opinion, it depends on lots of things how much time some one should serve. And i don't think the laws are too easy, life in prison is horrible.

Source(s): Arrested 11 times, convicted 6 times (juvie for 5 years, jail for half a year, and then prison for 2 years) Experiense with the law. Some of my friends are doing life for murder.

I agree with parole for all criminals. These are people who have already been mistreated by society and we lock them up and ruin their chances at a good life. Criminals, in all cases, should be educated, taught skills, given rehabilitation and returned to society to lead normal lives.

I'm opposed to all life sentences and totally opposed to the death penalty.

I see no problem with giving this young woman a parole and a pardon. She was stressed and let off a little steam, what is the big deal! I would like to see her return to a normal life with no further punishment for doing essentially nothing wrong.

I simply see nothing wrong in any way with the young woman's actions.

it is going to selection state to state on how they attitude it and by employing morals. i do no longer think you will possibly desire to get existence for armed theft, I do for homicide and rape. homicide you're taking someones existence away and its a similar for rape in a feeling. alot of ladies people dedicate suicide after the act or will handle the discomfort for something of there existence. i'm additionally completely against the dying penalty. As for kidnapping i additionally disagree on existence sentencing except it in contact yet another violent crime alongside with homicide or rape.

This can not be described as "Too lenient".They have already suffered long N-I-N-E-T-E-E-N years in jail quite despised of family and social life..Nineteen years is really a long time.By this time they are brain washed to realize what should not have done. They are now old and depressed. We may feel soft for them.
