What do you think of this skater?
Julia Lipnitskaya is a twelve year old Russian Figure Skater who used to do Rhythmic Gymnastics. She placed 4th at the 2011 Russian Figure Skating Championships.

Long Program 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEF41tCbP3g&feature...
Personally, I think she's kind of sloppy. She never finishes anything, and her split jump and illusions are terrible (you would think she's be good at those :P ). Her spins are impressive, and her jumps are mostly pretty good, but there's just something missing. I also can't stand her music, especially the long program.
But I think with a bit of work on her cleanliness, she could be a really great skater. She has beautiful lines, and obviously has a lot of talent. She definitely has potential, and she's Sochi eligible! But with so much Russian talent, it's hard to tell. She's going to need to get her triple axel soon if she wants to catch up with Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Adelina Sotnikova.
So... thoughts?

i think shes lacking speed especially on her footwork, smooth landings, and her lines arent always as clean as one would like. but like everyone else says shes lacking the maturity and grace.i think though the thing that really put me off was the speed. i felt as if she was going very slow and the choreography was also lacking oomph. it was a bit boring.
but thats just my opinion.
also i was wondering are there any youtube vids of you skating? your a top answerer and always talking about skating so i would love to see you skate!

I think that she has pretty jumps and spins. But she doesn't have the maturity factor to back up her skating. She still skates like a kid (the sloppiness part). The other skaters that you mentioned have more of the mature grace and elegance that she doesn't seem to have yet. She is really talented, though. I think that she will gain those elements in the future. :)

I agree with you on most things. Yes she is sloppy with her choreography and skating, although her spins are fantastic and her jumps are, most of the time, pretty nice. I actually like her long program music. Her LP music is actually one of my friend's LP music too lol. I think, since she's only 12, that she'll definitely go far! She's got incredible talent and flexibility. All she needs to do is just clean up her programs and get those jump landings solid, and maybe connect with the audience more, and then I think she could be at the next Olympics!

Yeah, her jumps are sloppy and her spins are nice, but can be better.
She is very flexible though and i love her dresses(:
You have to remember also that she is a little girl (at lease she looks it) and she will have plenty of time to improve those areas.
