    or could it be

    2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 16 cubic feet

    well technically that would be a plane...now if only we had a direction and length in the z axis we could give you a volume of said hole and how much dirt could fit.

  • we don't know, we just know this hole, not necessarily circular, is 2ft by 2ft in dimension, if we were given a third dimension, there would be no dirt in the hole, because it's a hole.
