my dog's hair is falling, should i brush it off, give him a bath, or leave it like that?
i've already taken him to the vet and he does have some sort of skin infection for which he is taking medication. Just today his hair started falling out more than usual (he has sort of dandruff) i don't know if i should brush it off, give him a bath (vet sent him a special shampoo to help itching) or just leave it there to fall on its own??
HELP ME QUICK PLEASE!

Follow the instruction given by your vet! Nobody can answer you better than a qualified veterinary who has inspected the animal first hand.
How often did the vet say to bath him? Be sure not to exceed this as even the most mild of shampoos can be abrasive to a dogs skin if used more often than prescribed.
WIth regard to brushing, I would suggest that this is a good thing. If the hair is coming out anyway, it can irritate the dog and encourage him to scratch. Use a soft brush gently so that it only removes the hairs that have already detached rather than pull out the ones that are not yet ready to go!!
It may be worth considering the changes in the weather. We have had an incredibly hot day here in the UK and should you have been situated here, would have suggested that it could be a natural loss rather than a medical condition.
I hope that you find this useful and that your little one is soon back on the road to recovery.

What was the Vets diagnosis? skin infection, mange mites, dermatitis, allergens....?
There are SO so so many skin problems in dogs that they are hard to diagnosis. There are also so many different treatments.
Look up skin problems in dogs. You may be able to identify it your self.
I would brush the dog to get all the loose coat off & to stir up the dander just a little. Then bath him with the special shampoo, be sure you let it stay on long enough to be effective. it is usually about 15 to 20 minutes. Then rinse it all out, rinse real good, be sure there is no soap left on him at all. You may want to get a conditioner. Check them out at a large pet store & see what they have to help with the condition.
If you bath him too often you will dry out his skin & coat & cause more itching. So use a conditioner to keep the skin & coat healthy.
Get a specific diagnosis from the Vet. Did the Vet do a skin scraping to determine if it is mange mites or not? Look up skin problems in dogs.

if you dog is old then maybe it that but you can call the vet and ask them but i think try giving him a bath then wait till its dry and then brush it becuase the dandruff is why u should give him a bath and maybe he was just sedding so u brush but i dont think you should leave it if that does not work (as i said) call the vet and ask him i hope this helped

I'd give him a bath and then, very gently, brush them to get any residual shed fur off of them.

dogs' hair usually starts falling beacause of the heat to cool off or maybe his infection is still affecting him
