I personally wouldn't care if Bonds came back, hit .375 with 30 homers, singlehandedly won the World Series for the Giants (or whatever team he signed with), then win the MVP next year, fund an orphanage in Kenya, donate a kidney to a stranger, take a bullet for the President and do a tour of duty in Afghanistan with the Navy Seals, I'd still think he was a grade A @sshole.

Once an @sshole, always an @sshole. And given that I'm a bit of one myself, I know all about it!

Well he's been away too long to come back and have any success. So it can't happen. But to play out your fantasy, no, he would not be. People have made up their minds on guys like Bonds and Clemens. Nothing that ever comes out about them will ever "redeem" them in those peoples eyes. As for the rest of the people, no redemption required.

He already proved for the first 12 season that he played before juicing that he was a hall of fame caliber player. There are those that will never forgive him for taking steroids and then never fessing up to it. The fact that he broke the single season and career home runs records doesn't help.

Barry Bonds is 47 yrs old. He could not put up " half way decent" numbers you said.

He had difficulty playing LF his last year.

Btw, you got dumb question of the week.
