Best places to live near Tampa, FL?
My husband and I are looking into relocating to Tampa, FL but have no idea where a good place to live would be. We are told that Apollo Beach is nice and are currently looking into that. We want somewhere that we can rent a 5+ bedroom house and it be on the water (canal or the ocean). Where should I start looking?

Be aware that Apollo Beach is far away from most of the jobs. It could take you an hour each way to get to work. I do not know if you are planning to retire down here or to work down here. If you are planning to retire then you would like being in Apollo Beach as it is a quiet area. Mirabay is a lovely development, we have friends who moved in there and are happy. If you are planning to hold a job then you should look at St. Petersburg or Tampa. A 5+ bedroom house on the water is very expensive because everyone wants that. How much are you planning to spend in rent? My daughter looked at places on the water near St. Petersburg and for $1100 a month she could get a tiny apartment on the beach without a dishwasher, one bathroom and two tiny bedrooms. When she looked at rentals in Feather Sound in Clearwater overlooking a golf course she got a gorgeous two bedroom two bath with good size rooms, a swimming pool and a health club. She was a 15 minute drive to the beach. There are also houses you can rent in Feathersound. There are areas on the beach in St. Petersburg, St. Pete Beach. Madeira Beach, Bellair and Reddington Beach. There are some big houses on the water but they cost over $2 million to purchase. If you are going to live in Tampa and want to live on the water you are talking about houses that cost over $1 million and up to purchase. I imagine the rent would be equally high. There are some nice areas of Tampa that are not on the water with decent schools and nice neighborhoods like Carrollwood and New Tampa that you might find something affordable to rent. It is difficult to answer you not knowing how much you have to spend. Culberth Isles, for example, in Tampa has houses on the water.

St Petersburg has a thing that gets below your skin and if you want to find what it's then, you ought to have a look with hotelbye . Nevsky Prospect is St Petersburg's principal avenue and among the best-known streets in Russia. Cutting through the old heart of the city, it operates from the Admiralty, image of Russian energy, to the Alexander Nevsky Monastery and it will soon be really lovely to go along that road in the evening when all illuminations on. Here, you can see everything: probably the most gorgeous architecture, the spectacular palaces, the world-famous museums and the sparkling five-star hotels. Among the areas should see from St. Petersburg is State Hermitage Museum. The key architectural outfit of the Hermitage is located in the center of St Petersburg and consists in: Winter Palace, once the former state residence of the Russian emperors, buildings of the Small, Old (Great) and New Hermitages, the Hermitage Theatre and the Auxiliary House.
