Who makes the best mass-produced, ready-to-drink chocolate milk? I'm thinking of chocolate milk that is sold nationwide or internationally, not specialty products that you can only find in a few specific places.

You got me thinking........in my area there are NO "nationwide" brands of milk like there used to be: just store brands and local dairies.......have seen the Nestle's in cartons but never tried. A couple years back the stores had Godiva for a month or two then stopped stocking it.

Just to tantalize you: in my area there is a small. regional dairy store chain. They actually still sell milk in glass bottles which is neat. The chocolate milk comes in glass bottles with an extra wide (like 3") mouth......because it's so thick it won't pour out of the regular bottles !!!!! Wow, is it good - specially ice-cold...........but has to be a million calories in it so I don't buy often.

At home I make my own with sugar-free Quik......once in a while with Hershey's syrup as a treat.

I am going to try to take you seriously and give you an honest answer. Take one of the quart sized powered milk packets and and start with one cup of the Nestle Quick drink mix. Add whatever the recommended amount of water is for the powered milk and mix well. Give it a taste test. It might not be "chocolate" enough. Keep adding a bit more of the Nestle power and keep taste testing until you like it. Good luck!

Nesquik is really good. It's easy to make just mix the powder with the milk.

Horizon makes good chocolate milk too. They sell them in little carton looking containers in the dairy aisle.

if you're looking for brand name chocolate milk then try nestle nesquik it's one of the best but you could always try store brand
