    A format with Heavy Storm and 3 MSTs is a bad format. BLS should not be in any format. I'm pretty okay with everything else.

    Fishborg Blaster didn't deserve to be banned. It's a perfectly balanced card in its own right, but nonsensical combos and ridiculous plays that could be accomplished with it made it so the card could not exist in the game. It sucks when an undeserving card has to get banned, but it happens (Tsukuyomi, Butterfly Dagger - Elma, Mass Driver).

    I know that the TCG always mirrors to OCG list, but if it ever was going to break away from it, I think right now, when the TCG is going rogue and seperating itself from the OCG with the different rules on major game mechanics like Ignition Effect priority and Xyz mechanics, is the most likely time it'll happen.

    EDIT: To anyone who doesn't know, this is the OCG ban list, not the official TCG ban list. The TCG ban list is always the exact same as the OCG ban list very March and September. It has never been different. The only TCG exclusive I can think of that was on the list before it was in the OCG (Allure of Darkness) was emergency limited in the middle of a format. Note also that as of right now, Trishula is limited to one on the OCG list, but is not listed in the magazine because it has been since March. It wasn't on the TCG list because it didn't exist in the TCG yet.

    EDIT #2: The reason they banned Giant Trunade was because it did very little for the game other than encouraging OTKs, which Konami doesn't like. If the game is all OTKs, then a lot of people would stop playing because it wouldn't be fun, so it's a win-win. We don't have to deal with crazy OTKs, and Konami's card game remains popular. Heavy Storm is more of a touchy subject. Granted, a lot of what it does is promote OTKs, but there are far more counters to it than there are to Giant Trunade, because it actually destroys the cards. It was unbanned probably because of how so many people felt about the last format. If you were a competitive player, you know that a lot of it was just just setting a monster or Summoning something like Tengu (or doing some Plant nonsense with Tour Guide and Leviair) and setting 4-5 Spells and Traps to support it, which made the game slower and, in some people's opinions, not fun. I am okay with Heavy Storm being in a format, I don't like it, but it's okay. However, I firmly believe that Heavy Storm cannot exist in a format with 3 MSTs, because there would never be any backrow.

    In a format with Heavy Storm, players tend to set only 1 or 2 backrow, so as to not get minus'd so heavily by the Storm. With 3 MSTs, if only one backrow is set, then it almost always gets destroyed. If 2 are set, there's still a minus if Heavy Storm is played, and a 50/50 chance that if the opponent has MST, the good one will be destroyed (because one is usually better than the other, and often the other is a Chainable card or a bluff). I just don't see this format being good. I feel as though Konami has inadvertently made this an OTK format with their decisions. The first half will be Twilight OTK, and the second half will be a struggle between Twilight and Dark World (since Tour Guide still exists). Granted, this is the OCG list, and there is no guarantee that some TCG exclusives won't get hit, or even that we'll mirror the list. History suggests otherwise, but as I said, you just never know.

    I hate when people look at one card and not the whole picture. That is what Konami is about.

    Listen to this

    Royal Oppression is banned- now more specail summoning allowed.

    Plant Engine is lowered so need for Royal OP is lowered

    Giant Trunade is banned because Giant Trunade + Heavy Storm = troll face

    MST at 3 will help get rid of the Gravity Bind abusers and they found it

    essential because it balances out the deck.

    also i think they knew MST and Heavy would be a pain so they threw in Swords and 2x Calls to make it equal out and make people utilize the grave more often.

    The reason the did Destiny Draw is because they wanted to bring Lightsworn and Twilight back into the picture so we have a broader field.

    So basically the meta goes from

    Six Samurias

    Gravekeepers

    Tengu Plants

    Tengu Skill drain (and other variants)

    Anti-Meta

    Blackwings

    some GBs

    to

    Gravekeepers

    Tengu Plants (less of them by far)

    Twilight with BLS

    Gladiator Beast

    Fusion (parallel fusion)

    Lightsworn

    Blackwings (Icarus at 3 duh!)

    Anti-Metas

    Destiny Heros (my prediction)

    Dark World (soon)

    Removal

    Junk Exceed (possibly)

    basically each deck will have a weakness making the meta based hopefully

    more on skill and not $750 decks.

    I think the list is fair for Six Samurai's now.

    How can 'Giant Trunade' be banned but 'Heavy Storm' be unbanned?? and 'Mystical Space Typhoon' not on the list??????

    That is the only thing that I can consider that is bad.

    I don't mind the limiting of 'Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning', it makes Twilight become alot better and more of a challenge for my Gladiator Beast deck.

    EDIT

    FORBIDDEN

    * Monster Reborn

    * Gateway of the Six

    * T.G. Hyper Librarian

    LIMITED

    * Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth

    * Crush Card Virus

    * Archlord Kristya

    * Gladiator Beast War Chariot

    * Skill Drain

    * Spirit Reaper

    * Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier

    * Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En

    SEMI-LIMITED

    * Dimensional Prison

    * Chaos Sorcerer

    * Mezuki

    * Gold Sarcophagus

    * Master Hyperion

    * Six Samurai United

    UNLIMITED

    * Megamorph

    * Ojama Trio

    This is Yugioh Wikia predictions.

    I hate how 'Gladiator Beast War Chariot' is in there. That's one of my favourite cards and it annoys my friend alot. I would much prefer that list you mentioned than the one on Wikia.

    I think this format would be AWESOME if they didn't ban royal oppression. That's my favorite card, though ppl say it's ghey and stuff, I don't think so. Oppression is the card that can turn any deck competitive and making it banned and putting in a near-hack card like BLS envoy of begginning is what makes this a stupid format. Everything else looks pretty good. D-Draw at 2 because tengu is at 3 and it's very deadly, now d-draw might actually be worth more, destiny cards like mali might be worth alot more now. So, yeah this is a good format, but except for banning opression.

    Trust me, they will never bring back BLS, it is just WAY too powerful.

    I have yet to see an official North America ban list. The only one I can see on the internet is the Japanese one which usually has a few differences from the NA one.
