Wow, are some people really that naive to think that 40 to 60 Billion a year ...?
was what caused us to have deficits of roughly 1300 Billion a year over the past 3 years? And by bringing back heavier taxes on the wealthy will make them have skin in the game when 48% of those that worked paid zero taxes and 30% actually got paid by the Federal Government? That is not including those on welfare or unemployment benefits for 99 weeks.

why not raise taxes on everyone, I make less then 250k way less I'll ante up.
But it's unfair to make certain groups bear the burden they do pay more, if they pay a percentage on 5 million and i pay a percentage on 100k who's paying more.
Why do libs think they have the right to tell rich people what they may keep, how much is FAIR SHARE, how much will the Libs allow people to keep of the OWN money they earned.

Rumsfeld said back in '01 that up to 2.3 Trillion dollars in defense spending was unaccounted for, that he was going to crack down and figure it all out, days later 9/11. Imagine what that figure is 10 years later...
At some point the blame will have to go where it belongs, and that's not 100% on Obama's shoulders.

No one is saying that. We're saying that the debt is so big that we need to both cut spending and raise taxes on the rich, who -- contrary to Republican mythology -- aren't job creators. If they WERE job creators, Bush wouldn't have had the worst job creation record of any modern full-term president.
And you're LYING when you say that 48% "paid zero taxes." They paid employment tax, FICA, sales tax, etc.

Yes they are but in addition to the naivete there is a lot of envy.
