Skywalk at Grand Canyon West worth the trip?

Is the trip from Las Vegas to Skywalk worth the trip or is it just a really expensive side trip?

Thanks for all the info.........I don't expect to be back on the west rim in this lifetime........so ............its on my bucket list...........so I spend the day and the money and visit.............thanks to all...........

    Its very very expensive and an all day trip. Whether its worth it is up to you. The Hualapai Indian Nation charge for everything and its not typically what you think of the GC being as it is not part of the National Park.....

    To be honest, it's easier and more fun to spend $70 IN Vegas.
