Best/Cheapest Gaming PC or Should I build one?
Title says it all basically, what is the best and cheapest gaming PC of 2011?
Or would I be better off building one? I'm kinda on a budget of under 600 or 500 right now.
Thanks!

I would recommend a build over a bought one, genuinely it's a cheaper. For 600$, you can build a pretty decent gaming machine so long as you exclude all I/O devices such as monitors, mouse & keyboards, etc.
If possible, swap some of your old hardware/software from your current PC to the new one, such as the Operating system and hard drives. This will save you a bit of cash. that can be spent on more essential hardware such as CPUs or video cards.

Custom-built PC will always perform better than pre-built ones, or at least buy one from Cyberpower or iBuyPower at the bare minimum. Never get brands like Acer, HP..etc if you're into gaming.
A 600 USD PC (excluding monitor, speakers, keyboard/mouse..etc) will be a decent one, should be able to play most games on medium to high settings.
I'd recommend asking in dedicated hardware forum, like

http://forums.overclockersclub.com/
Or you can google "gaming PC under 600" something like that, but make sure the article is up to date if not the latest one. ie http://www.geforce.com/Optimize/Guides/how-to-buil... (not sure how long since this article has been out though) Your safest way is to ask in the forums mentioned above, you will get a better answer.
Edit: This seems to be a pretty good article, though a few months old. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/diy-gaming-pc,...

You will never find a good gaming PC for under at least $1200, so I would recommend building one. There's a lot of great guides online for this.

Pre-geared up computers in many cases are especially unbalanced, offering a well-liked-day processor, yet with a powerful skinny video card, case in point. procuring areas and assembling them your self isn't unavoidably extra inexpensive, even though it particularly is extra fee efficient, considering the fact which you will no longer get something it particularly is under par or unneeded and which you will would desire to enhance maximum staggering off the bat; which in many cases is the case with pre-geared up manufacturers...

This seems pretty good, hard to beat the price.

You will need more RAM capabilities down the road. If you need it to last 10 years then I would build.
Edit: To the person that thumbed me down, why don't YOU make a recommendation?
