Does Brandy & soda taste good?
I have a nice Brandy, but nothing to mix it with. I do have a few sodas. I have a lemon lime, a root beer, and a Pepsi. Do any of those mix well with brandy?

Brandy and Soda is an old, traditional drink, but it refers to soda water and not soft-drink sugary sodas. Try it, soda water is incredibly inexpensive.
Brandy and Ginger Ale is also a combination that's been around since before the twentieth century.
The Brandy Old Fashioned (not to be confused with a regular Old Fashioned made with brandy) is made with brandy, 7-Up and a dash of cocktail bitters.
While it's a crime to mix with a fine cognac, in the same way you don't make a Rob Roy with ten-year old single malt scotch, there is nothing that says that regular brandy can't be used in a wide variety of cocktails or mixed drinks.

It's criminal to mix good brandy with anything. If you can't appreciate the flavor yourself, go buy some E&J and give the good stuff to someone with some taste.

Mix These about 1:2 to 1:1 ratio based on your taste: Rum/Jack and Dr. Pepper/Coke (with lime is good) Cheap Brandy and Dr. Pepper (like Ryan said the good stuff by itself) Cheap Brandy and Black Cherry Soda (not Black Cherry Cola) 7Up & Seagram's 7 7Up & Tuaca (this is really sweet, mix closer to 50/50) Someone posted this on here about 3 months ago, and its delicious! Black Tooth Grin: Even parts Jack Daniels and Crown Royal Splash of Coke Garnish with a hangover Here is one that I heard on a radio show: Cognac Iced Tea Serve in pint glass (beer glass) One shot of Cognac Fill glass with Ginger Ale Drop in a few ice cubes and a slice of lemon If you add too much Cognac it will taste bad, use only 2 oz and it will taste like iced tea.
