What is the best manual lemon juice extractor/press.?

I like making home-made lemonade at home. And I haven't really found a good fast way yet to extract lemon juice. The twist jars take a good amount of time and the screen gets full of pulp and is hard to clean. The Mexican style hand juicers that you squeeze like a set of pliers don't work very well for me (they don't get much juice out) and I've even broken a pair. So far about the best way has been a wooden hand juicer over a wire mesh screen and a bowl, but that takes a while.

So I got thinking about how the lemon shake up stands normally juice lemons with those presses where you put the cup under the press and pull the lever down. Since they are so expensive I'd like to get the opinion of someone who's ran a lemon shake-up stand on what brand they most recommend. I figure if it can handle that kind of use then it will work for my home use without breaking down.

If you've ran a food stand and served lemon shake-ups, can you recommend what brands are best to buy. THANKS!!!

i throw the lemon +sugar+ice crystal and a pinch of salt in the jar of the mixer ,and blend it ,seive it and drink it

i dont even remove the lemon zest [skin of lemon] or seeds ,whole lemon goes in to it

its tastes a bit weird ------->but i like it [as comfort factor is more important to me ]

i don't like juicers ,or any other devices for making it

    good luck

Cut the lemon in halves and squeeze each with your hands. Very efficient.

Cut lemon into wedges and squeeze into a sieve over your glass. No need for any machines. Enjoy! {:-)

I have an old iron pull handle citrus juicer (for 15years now).. its wonderful.. when its orange season, I buy a huge bushel of oranges and juice up tons for my kids..

its sort of messy and a bugger to clean, but it works like a charm..
