Asc node and Ascendant?

Asc node is the direction your life is going in terms of career, goals, etc and karmic lessons you can use to create balance and improve from things in the past. Ascendant, which is also knows as Rising, is how you "appear" to the general public, it also happens to fall into the 1st House, the area of self identity. The ascendant is a symbol of how one acts in life. It is the image of the personality as seen by others, and the attitude that one has towards life. The descendant should appear in your birth chart if you used cafe astrology..it should appear in the asteroids and chiron section..it depicts lessons you have learned, or your underdeveloped personality aspects like your fears. Basically, the descendant is what you have learned in the past, the ascendant is where you are going and improving on.
