If a female has kidney stones are the pains that go along with it regular?
or is it possible to just get them occasionally. I have been getting stomach cramps irregularly and might get two in one night but then nothing for up to a week. I am 49 and going through menopause so put it down to this but now I have had a test which shows blood in my urine and was just wondering.
I have seen a doctor and will be going back for my results but was just wondering if anyone knew the answer to this.

I believe that you've been under a KUB procedure, a scan of your kidney ureter and bladder if there's lithiasis (stones) in that areas. In your case we cannot conclude that your stomach cramps and blood in your urine are signs of presence of stones. But those can be symptoms of having formation of stones in either kidney ureter or bladder, movement of stones in one place to another ,like from kidney to ureter, causes pain and when it scratches the wall possible bleeding can occur and an occasional stabbing pain.
