Some thoughts on my situation please.?

I bought into a partnership with somebody about 2 months ago and we run a second hand goods shop...

However, my partner has been (although I can't prove it) has been stealing from the business to the tune of about £4000, whether it be stock, or actual cash from the till!

I was meant to meet him there today to open the shop and he didn't show up, there was no float in the till (obviously in his pocket) and the place is left untidy proving no interest for our company.

So I tried calling his phone all day which is the business phone with no answer and no replies to my messages.

Any advice from business-minded people on how to proceed would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

This is not a good situation and not someone I would want to be in business with. I hope you signed a partnership agreement. If so, it should have a provision for exiting the partnership. I would either buy him out or try to start a new business without him.
