MUSLIMS!What exactly is the status of the Iqamah?

Can someone start a compulsory prayer without it ? Or is it mandatory ? tnx.

I mean can you do the qabli sujud when you start a fard prayer without it ?

    It is still the second call to prayer, given just before the prayer begin.
