I want to become a surgeon?

Okay I live in the UK so people who know the UK system only answer please (:

Im a newbie at all this in my 11th year of high school, next year college I have decided which courses I am taking obviously relating to the medical profession anyway I have a few questions as Im on the starting line.

Here goes people ;

1) Do you go to medical school after university or after college?

2) List in order the qualifications I need

3) When will I actually come off training and be a proper surgeon?

3) Does it really take 12 years?!
