Since nonnegative values inside the √ makes h(x) exist, we let...

    4 - x ≥ 0 and x² - 1 ≥ 0

    So...

    x ≤ 4 and x² ≥ 1

    x ≤ 4 and x ≥ 1 and x ≤ -1

So we have the domain of...

    {x | R, x ≤ -1 and 1 ≤ x ≤ 4} [Proved: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=4+-+x+%E2%89%...

    I hope this helps!
