Where can I find a riding internship?

I'm 20 years old, in University, and been riding for 14 years. I'm at an advanced level in my riding, both English and Western. I am wanting to internship at an acclaimed riding school or stable for the summer of 2012. Does anyone know of anywhere that takes summer internships? I've googled some different places, but I haven't found a whole lot. I prefer going somewhere well-known, with a focus on English riding.

Many stables offer working student positions if that is what you mean by internship. Decide what type of riding you want do to, performance stables typically have a focus discipline like hunters, jumpers or dressage.

Depending on where you are located, find out what the provincial horse governing body is and find out of they have a website. Check the forums on the website for ads looking for working students. For example, in BC, the Horse Council of BC website has a site for forums with postings for working students and other horsie jobs.
