What camera will take an old Minolta lens?

I've been given a Minolta zoom lens (don't know a lot about it).

I have heard Sony bought Minolta some years ago, so maybe some Sony cameras would use the same fittings as Minolta. So would a Minolta lens fit a Sony camera? or some other brand? and if so, any particular model?

If its the older manual focus model Minolta there isn't a DSLR made that it can be used on - unless you buy an adapter.

If it says Maxxum AF then its 100% compatible with any Sony DSLR.

It may fit a Pentax or Canon..Try Cambridge camera onilne in NYC.

They sell adapters for anything.I used a Minolta on a Cambridge camera and Minolta,

    But it was years ago.
